As I am very interested in language development in children, I have to share a Matthew story with you.
Yesterday we were driving somewhere and the came to a street that was torn up. Matthew asked why they were doing that. We told him that it was probably to fix the pipes that run under the street. He asked if pipes were animals. We told him "No" and asked why he asked that. He said, "If they are not animals", then how do they run. So much for 5 year olds and homophones.
